An Irish Rose for Yeats

‘…Men have named beauty. Thy great leaves enfold The ancient beards, the helms of ruby and gold…’

As a gesture of appreciation to Yeats for his literary gift, Secret Gardens of Sligo plans to launch a brand new Irish rose for Yeats2015, one to be named in his honour – WB Yeats.

This rose, a flower which so eloquently speaks Yeats’s lines: ‘Red rose, proud rose…Rose of all my days!’ – a flower that will be a timeless legacy to Ireland’s greatest poet.
