Workshops, guest lectures, concert and apéritif for the opening of the William B. Yeats exhibition

14h: Introductions – Dr Patricia Ronan, Prof Rachel Falconer, Dr Roelof Overmeer (University of Lausanne)

14h30: Reading workshops – Led by Prof Simon Swift (Geneva), Dr Ronan, Dr Overmeer, Prof Falconer, Rachel Nisbet and Philip Lindholm (Lausanne); participants will discuss and analyse a selection of poems by W. B. Yeats (all texts will be provided)

16h30: ‘”The Afterlife of ‘Easter 1916′”‘ – Lecture and Q&A by Dr Martin Leer (University of Geneva)

17h: Official opening of the exhibition The Life and Works of William Butler Yeats
Refreshments, and a chance to view the exhibition

17h30-18h30: Irish music and poetry recital by ‘Tale of the Gael’

Simon Swift: Professor of Romantic and modern literature and philosophy, University of Geneva

‘Tale of the Gael’ – musicians from Co. Sligo
