
The City Assembly House presents a number of events to celebrate the works of WB Yeats over the St Patrick’s Festival weekend.

The Irish Writers Centre in association with The Dublin Painting and Sketching Club and the Irish Georgian Society present a mixed media event in tribute to W.B. Yeats, as 2015 marks the 150th anniversary of his birth. The event is also in connection with the St Patrick’s Festival.

While the exhibition of paintings inspired by the poetry of W.B. Yeats will be on display from 12 March, be sure to join us for a special commemorative event on Sunday 15th.
They will weave together visual, literary and musical responses through recitals of a selection of the poetry of W.B. Yeats, short original pieces on Yeats’s life and work – as crafted by members of the Irish Writers Centre writing groups – and musical settings of Yeats’s poems by the noted harpist Claire Roche. Daniel Soro, guitarist, will provide additional music.
Informal recitals of poetry | Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 March, from 2.30 pm | Admission free
There will be Poetry recitals, readings of short pieces on Yeats and performance of Yeats’ poems set to music by harpist Claire Roche, on Sunday 15th March at 3.00pm
