Blue Raincoat presents A Country Under Wave – the theatre of W. B. Yeats.
Blue Raincoat Theatre Company have assembled a range of events inspired by Yeats’s theatre from productions of his dance work to performed readings of all 26 of his plays. There are full productions of Yeats’s plays on beaches and mountains, exhibitions, and talks relating to his work and the landscape that inspired him.
Noh master, Ryoki Aoki, will also give a lecture demonstration on the Japanese theatre form Noh that so influenced Yeats. With over 60 individual events to choose from there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The festival begins with a performance of On Baile’s Strand on Mid Summers Day on Streedagh Beach.
