The Model, home of The Niland Collection, is one of Ireland’s leading contemporary arts centres.
Built in 1862 as a Model School, the present building has seen two extensions, including one that increased the building by a third in size, to create a world-class visitor centre. This award-winning building is home to the impressive Niland Collection of art, one of the most notable collections in Ireland, and boasts unrivalled works by John and Jack B Yeats, Estella Solomons, Paul Henry, and Louis Le LeBrocquy, among others.
The Model’s programme for Yeats2015 will present an array of events for every Yeats enthusiast. From the captivating Psychic Lighthouse exhibition to Yeats-inspired family days and creative talks, such as The Candlelight Salon, visitors can discover a wealth of music and film inspired by one Ireland’s most prolific poets.
