Harp Festival of Moons (December – The Cold Moon)
Drumcliffe Graveyard, Co. Sligo
The 13th full moon of the year falls on Christmas Day 2015, so where better to conclude this festival and to mark the passing of this significant year with some tunes and a few lines of poetry at the graveside of WB Yeats.
The event is part of the Harp Festival of Moons, a yearlong festival of live harp recitals that will take place on every full moon in 2015. As a blue moon year with 13 full moons instead of 12, there will be 13 events in total. The locations for performances have been selected because of their association with the harp and/or Yeats’ work and life.
For Yeats2015 Harp Festival of Moons will host events every month. See the full year’s listing here.
