On the 3rd full moon of 2015, the Yeats and Lady Gregory Trail along with the harpists of the Athenry Music School will host a very special evening recital in Kiltartan Church, adjacent to Kiltartan Gregory Museum
The event is part of the Harp Festival of Moons, a yearlong festival of live harp recitals that will take place on every full moon in 2015. As a blue moon year with 13 full moons instead of 12, there will be 13 events in total. The locations for performances have been selected because of their association with the harp and/or Yeats’ work and life.
This event takes place just one day before the 135th anniversary of the wedding of Augusta Isabella Persse and Sir William Gregory. Lord and Lady Gregory lived in Coole Park which is situated nearby.
