June 5, 2015 - June 18, 2015

A solo exhibition of paintings and prints by Pádraic Reaney in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of WB Yeats

In the poems Jane’s chance for love is ruined by an interfering bishop, who conspired to keep her and her lover Jack apart – after Jack’s death Jane’s spindly figure is seen walking through dense woodlands, A landscape which the artist based on Coole Park.

Reaney explores the wonderful imagery of Yeats’s poetry through a stunning array of painting techniques, using oil, gesso, watercolour and charcoal. There is also a set of prints using drypoint on CDs, block prints, monoprints and carborundum.

Poet and Professor of English at TCD, Mr. Gerald Dawe, will kindly launch the exhibition at 6pm on June 5, 2015.

The exhibition is kindly supported by Yeats 2015.
