To mark the 150th anniversary of Yeats’ birth, the James Joyce Centre is very pleased to present this special evening celebrating the lives and works of two giants of modern Irish literature. Yeats was one of Joyce’s earliest supporters and Joyce in turn acknowledged Yeats as among the greatest of modern poets. They each plotted their own course and established themselves as the leading voices of their generations at a time of great change in Ireland, but theirs was a friendship marked as much by rivalry as admiration.
Join tenor Noel O’Grady and actress Kate O’Toole for an intimate celebration of this unique relationship through music and recital in the intimate surrounds of the Centre’s Kenmare Room. There will be a 10 minute interval and a complimentary wine reception after the show.
