Celebrating the 150th anniversary of the birth of WB Yeats in Moscow

The State Library of Foreign Literature, Moscow The 150th anniversary of the birth of WB Yeats was celebrated in Moscow with a lecture by Charles Ivan Armstrong, Professor of the University of Agder, on “W.B. Yeats, and being Irish”. This was accompanied by recitals of Yeats’ poetry in Russian and English, and of traditional music from Yeats’ period by a trio of Irish musicians.
